The Trail of My Life (Paperback)
The book, The Trail of My Life, showcases Gene Espy's life full of adventures including hiking, bicycling, spelunking, boating and motorcycling. From an early age, this Eagle Scout, Georgia Tech graduate, and U.S. Air Force aerospace engineer explored the world around him just for fun. The culmination of all his adventures was his 1951 Georgia to Maine solo hike of the entire Appalachian Trail which made him the second thru-hiker. Gene is a pioneer among the currently ten thousand hikers of the entire trail, encountering much more solitude, wilderness and difficulties in his hike than today's hikers.
